Give honor to whom honor is due!

Avis Ward Ministries has provided this space for you to honor someone very special to you, whether living or deceased.

We thank God for your bravery and courage. We thank you for your service to America in protecting her and us. Rinehart you were just a teenager who lost your life in the Vietnam War. I did not know you as well as my older siblings but I came to know and love your parents and other family members. You were loved deeply and missed beyond words to describe. Thank you.

Cousin David, our mothers were sisters and we grew up like siblings. An honorable discharge due to being wounded in combat in the Vietnam War brought you safely home to us but your health was never the same. You made us laugh and kept your siblings together after your parents passed away. I miss your smile and energy. We think you left us too soon but we know God is sovereign.

Although your name was Ernest, I never quite understood why we called you Uncle Paul! Since you made the Air Force a career move, we did not get to see you often but you kept in touch. I will never forget the great times we had when I was a young adult. Thank God you settled in East Point, Georgia, just a skip and a hop from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International airport. When I missed a connecting flight, I could always call and you would always come. I loved my overnight layovers with you and Aunt Ella! Mother adored her baby brother and was so proud to use you as an example to us of what perseverance and determination could help you achieve. Being a pilot and lawyer were great accomplishments for a country boy. Your children and family misses you and thank you for keeping us safe.

To every veteran who served to keep America safe, thank you! Our prayers are with your families who miss you very much. We pray for increased benefits for them because of your service. Many were killed in combat and others were able to leave active duty and go home. You are all heroes and heroines. You are honored today and always with great respect, admiration and love. Thank you!

Thank you active duty veterans across America and the world! Thank you to your families. Our prayers are with you. God bless you and may God continue to bless America!
