God Understands Our Shortcomings
There is no depth to God's understanding yet we worry what others say about us when we fall short of His glory. We must remember who we serve and continue to love those who persecute us. Learn to follow the conviction of the Holy Spirit and do not allow the world to condemn you. "Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary, there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]."
If you commit the same "shortfalls" over and over again, repeatedly and deliberately, there's another word from God for you. You are not in a Covenant relationship with Him. What you need to know is God is married to the backslider and you need to return to Him. He is waiting.

Look Like the Father
Receiving Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior creates a personal relationship with God. The word tells us we must go through the son to get to the Father (John 14:6). And that if we believe on the son, we don't believe on Him only, but also the One who sent Him (John 12:44). The Father and son are one (John 10:30). This is an intimate relationship we are blessed to have and it must be nurtured. In the natural, when a relationship is deprived of not just communication but spending one-on-one time together, it begins to wither. A portal is created for darkness to enter. This is also true in the spiritual in our relationship with God. The more time together communing with Him, the stronger we become and the more our character looks like Him — The Fruit of Righteousness and The Fruit of the Spirit.
